Statute of Limitations
Generally when a tax return is filed in a timely manner, the IRS and state have limited opportunity to review the return for any discrepancies. The IRS has 3 years to comply with federal statute rules and regulations whereas the State of Arizona has 4 years to comply with similar state limitations. Steven has three beautiful children and a lovely wife. He enjoys spending time with family, friends, and watching the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl.
Steven has been a CPA since 1994. He currently assists many individuals and business entities file their income taxes every year. He is committed to giving his clients the best possible personalized service.
Ryan Phillips EA
Ryan has been a member of the Steve Phillips & Associates team since 2016. Following his education from Pima Community College, Ryan completed the Gleim Enrolled Agent program and passed the IRS exams to become an Enrolled Agent in 2023. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, helping coach sports after office hours. Following in his father’s footsteps, he seeks to meet the needs of all the clients he does business with.
Stephen Posson EA
Stephen Posson has been a Tucson resident since 1998 and graduated from Sabino High School in 2000 and the University of Arizona in 2007. Stephen has been involved in tax preparation and accounting with Steven Phillips and Associates since 2008 and in November 2012 Stephen passed the IRS exams and became an Enrolled Agent.
Daniel Muritz EA
Daniel Muritz was born and raised in Tucson, AZ and graduated from Mountain View High School in 2003. He played soccer at Pima Community College for two years then transferred to, and graduated from, The University of Arizona in 2007 with an Accounting degree. He has been working with Steven Phillips and Associates since June 2005 and in March 2012 Danny passed the IRS exams and became an Enrolled Agent.
Jill White EA
Jill has been working for Linn, Phillips & Associates, under the tutelage of Tom Linn and Steve Phillips, since February 2011. Previously, Jill worked for her family’s local business as the in-house Comptroller, gathering 20 years of corporate bookkeeping and Peachtree software experience. In January 2013, Jill successfully passed the IRS exams and became an Enrolled Agent. She is married and has two sons, which makes her appreciate the family-friendly working environment at Linn, Phillips & Associates.
Jay Bohland
Jay Bohland
Jay Bohland received his accounting degree from the University of Arizona in 1993 and immediately started his own accounting practice. He passed the Arizona CPA exam in 1994 and began working with Steve Phillips and Associates in 2003.
Tania Dutari
Tania joined Steven Phillips and Associates towards the end of 2016. She currently assists clients on the phone and at the front desk. She seeks to meet the needs of every individual she speaks to.
Joanne Phillips
Joanne has been an Administrative Assistant for Steven Phillips and Associates for 14 years. She specializes in responsive feedback and relationship with clients. Joanne loves her family and enjoys spending time with her five grandkids.
Carol Ray
Carol has been an Administrative Assistant for Steven Phillips and Associates for over 15 years. Carol focuses on client satisfaction and meets each need our clients express.
